— Nov. 14, 2008 — Yellow Dog Linux distributor Terra Soft has been acquired by fellow Cell Broadband Engine (Cell BE) specialists Fixstars Corp. Terra Soft, whose Yellow Dog Linux (YDL) distribution supports both PowerPC and Cell BE platforms, will be recast as a subsidiary called Fixstars Solutions, says Fixstars.
