Kristin Hunt Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes hit theaters Christmas day, and critics wasted no time in complaining over its deviations from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original text. These criticisms deeply saddened me as a longtime Sherlock devotee, for it’s apparent that many of these esteemed critics have never read a Sherlock Holmes story.
