Red Hat has tapped Mark Bohannon, a lawyer, to be its VP, corporate affairs and global public policy starting October 1. The job means representing the company with government policy makers, industry consortia and standards bodies. He’s coming over from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) where he was senior VP, public policy responsible for its government relations. read more
