PC Magazine – Google recently dumped Windows on its company computers, over security concerns. The company has begun shifting employees over to the Mac and Linux OSes. Microsoft isn’t going to take this negative publicity lying down, however.

Open source operating system not just for netbooks Intel is developing an edition of the Linux-based Meego OS that will work on mainstream laptops and desktops, a company executive said this week. The chip maker released the first editions of Meego to developers in late March.
